Locksmith covering Worksop and north Nottinghamshire

Worksop is in Nottinghamshire, in Bassetlaw, not South Yorkshire. That is worth saying out loud, because a number of sites advertising here lump it in with Sheffield and Rotherham in a way that makes it fairly clear nobody has been. I am Sheffield based and I come over on the A57, so I cover it properly rather than listing it and hoping nobody rings.

The town grew around the colliery at Manton and the older housing still shows it. Terraced streets through Manton and Kilton, timber front doors on a good number of them, back yards and rear gates that are usually the weakest thing about the property by a distance. Gateford is the other extreme, large modern estates built out over recent decades, composite front doors on multipoint mechanisms with euro cylinders.

Then there are the villages and the estate country. Shireoaks, Rhodesia, Carlton in Lindrick, Langold and Blyth, and south of the town the Dukeries, Clumber and Welbeck. Out there the properties tend to be older and are often stone, frequently with outbuildings, garages and gates that matter every bit as much as the front door does, and which almost nobody thinks about until something has already gone.
